Step into a song foot over foot. the song's got walls that glitter fuschia and aquamarine. It's got a roof and skylights and inside it you can see the world from every direction like a crystal, watch all the specks of other peoples' thoughts take to the wind. Mine are propelled by something chemical burning in my stomach. It isn't appendicitis. I think it's all the songs.
Inside them I sew my many homes. I step inside and spin around and leap in sock feet on comforting tiled floors. It's where you're supposed to be. Laugh inside the song like a glorious sparkletoothed lion. Let the walls protect, let them shiver.
