build us
a house out of
stones and
the small gold
loops on the edge
of a sentence
we’ll live there like
lions
or gods, not
like tenants
and burrow
in ruta-
bagas.
we bury
the things that we love
under dirt
to preserve them
forever: like seeds
or…
